Searching for Free Coupons

Coupons are everywhere! Have you seen them? It is amazing what you can find when you just look!

Blinkies: Those little machines that spit out coupons. They can be found at most stores. The key to making the most of these machines is not to buy the item right then. Rather grad a couple of the coupons and wait for the product to go on sale.

Display Coupons: These are coupons that are in special holders promoting a product. Much like blinkies, unless it is on sale, just grab a couple and save.

Tear Pads: Look for displays that have tear pads on them. This have the same idea as the blinkies, wait to use these coupons until the product goes on sale.

Attached to Products: These are coupons that are attached to the product. Please only take these coupons if you are buying the product right then. Often if someone takes the coupon to save, others will not buy that box, and it is useless to the store. However if you are going to buy the product do remember to take the coupon off right away and put it into you coupon stack so you don't forget to use it.

Coupons inside Products: Check the packaging for coupons inside. Butter, cereal, snack food are among many of those who put coupons in their products. If you know or can see that there is a coupon inside, go ahead an open the package to use the coupon. However please to do open packages inside the just to "check" for coupons.

Random Coupons: These are my favorite coupons! What happens is someone goes into the store with their coupons, but decides not to buy the product they have a coupon for. Instead of taking the coupons back home with them, they just leave them on the shelf. At that point I like to pick them up and stick them in my coupon holder. Be careful, sometimes they are left behind because they are expired!

Remember you too can leave some random coupon kindness. Say you clip coupons for cat treats, but you do not have a cat, or have friends that could use them, next time you are at the store, just leave near the product they are for so someone else can come by and use them.  However stores will remove them when they clean up for the night, so try to do it earlier in the day.

P&G Samples and Coupons

By signing up for this you will receive many samples of their products and coupons. Often these coupons are even better than the ones they have in the Sunday papers.

Free Wonder Bread Coupons

I recently wrote a quick message to Wonder Bread about how my husband loves eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on their bread. I simply went to their website and clicked "Contact" and filled out the form. It took maybe 2 minutes max. Then about a week later I got 4 coupons in the mail. Each for a free loaf of bread. Just remember don't lie when you fill out the form, give them real feed back, if you or your family love Wonder Bread let them know that, or if you never tried Wonder Bread tell them that too and why you've never tried it. Try it out and comment below if you get coupons.  Click here for the link to the Contact form.

Price List

Starting out couponing, it sometimes is hard to know what really is a good deal.  Click here for a list of what you should expect to pay for certain items with coupons. Anytime you can buy something for less than this list price, means time to stock up at least a 3moth supply. If the price is close to to the target price, but not under, buy what you will need for about a month. If you really need the product right now, buy just what you need to get by, keeping in mind any savings is a good thing!

Glad Products at Hy-Vee

At Hy-Vee right now there is a sign near the cleaning supplies, that is says $2.00 of 2 qualify products. I can't remember all the products on the list, but I know that Glad trash bags was on the sign. There are pictures that will let you know what else is on there. Please anyone else who sees the sign, comment below if you can remember what else is on there.

I had two $.75 coupons off of Glad trash bags so I decided to pick up trash bags (22 count), retail price $4.99. 2 for 9.98, minus coupons ($1.50) $8.48, minus $2.00 with from the in-store sign, is $6.48 for 2 or $3.24 each. Making it 14 cents a bag. Totaling out a 35% savings on Glad trash bags.

Warning! Last night when I did this deal, it did not ring in at the register, the very nice cashier had to have a manager come over and manually put in the deal. It did not take much time, but if you try this deal make sure and watch at check out.

Via's Pizza on Deal Garden

I'm a big fan of Groupon and Deal Garden deals. I don't buy them every day, but when it is for a good local deal, I do.  Todays Deal Garden is great deal $12 for $25 worth of Via's Pizza. I do love Via's pizza! Check out Deal Garden today!

Giving Blood!

I've recently started giving platelets at the Community Blood Center in Topeka. I'm doing this every other Sunday and it takes about an hour and half. For me it is important because it is saving lives and there are many people that need and/or will need blood and its components. Giving blood is not for everyone, but if you are able to I suggest checking it out. There is also a rewards program that they offer. For every unit of blood, or a component (platelets, plasma, or red blood cells) you receive 100 points. With those points you can pick out prizes, such as water bottles, towels, camping chairs and more. I'm saving up my points for Movie Tickets.

I just wanted to point out the deals can be found anywhere and a deal like this not only benefits you but it also benefits others as well. Here is a link to their website:

Unknown Walgreens Deal to end 5-15

Right now Walgreens has a deal on Cottonelle toilet paper, Buy 2 @ $5.00 each, receive $3 in RR. Also there is a $1 coupon in the May coupon book that can be used and it will take off $2, $1 for each pack!. Making the cost of each 12 roll package $2.50 each. Each roll costing about $.21 each.

From talking with many friends, I have found people to be picky about toilet paper! So if Cottonelle is not for you, Starting 5-22 Charmin Basic will be on sale for $2.99 for 6 rolls at Walgreens. There are Charmin coupons for $.25. It may not be as great of deal as the Cottonelle right now, but if you prefer it, and can wait, that will be coming up!
